Under the Licensing Act 2003, various powers are available to protect those affected by a licence. This includes a 28-day consultation period for applications for provisional statements, a new or major variation of a premises licence or club premises certificate.
During this period, local residents, businesses, or other authorities can submit a representation either in support or opposition to the application.

Representations must be made in writing to the address below. Please note, it is an offence to knowingly, or recklessly, make a false statement in connection with an application. The maximum fine for this is £5000 on summary conviction.

Any interested parties can apply to the council for a review of a licence or certificate at any time if they feel problems are occurring.
